简介 :
俗名錢鰻、薯鰻、虎鰻、糬鰻(澎湖)、秤仔花(澎湖)。棲息於礁區、近海沿岸，深度4-165公尺，有毒性，不可食用，有觀賞價值，是經濟性魚類，分布於印度至太平洋，產於臺灣東部、東北部、澎湖，最大體長180 cm，模式種產於西印度洋。
形態特徵 :
體延長而呈圓柱狀，尾部側扁。 6 對牙齒較大；鋤骨齒單列，只有三顆；大型個體的鋤骨裸露無齒。脊椎骨數133-139。體色相當鮮豔，魚體
棲所生態 :
主要棲息珊瑚礁陡坡之內、外緣的洞穴及隙縫中。以魚類為主食，偶食甲殼類。，常張開其寬闊的大口展示一種嚇人的外貌。皮膚的黏液具有毒性，其體表會分泌數種類似海百合毒
地理分布 :
分布於印度-太平洋區，西起紅海、東非，東至夏威夷群島，北至日本，南至澳洲等海域。臺灣東部、東北部及澎湖之岩礁區可見。
